Create experiences of ‘Elevation’
One of the most exciting things in life are the moments where we feel a rush of adrenaline. These experiences are called Experiences of ‘Elevation’.
For e.g. In a recently released movie name Uri, when the actor Vicky Kaushal shouts ‘How’s the josh’? and the jawans in the movie reply ‘High Sir’. The audiences in theatre including myself felt a rush of adrenaline, a feeling of ‘High’, or as we popularly call these experiences as the ‘Goosebumps’ moments.
Creating these moments of elevation can go a long way in strengthening your bond with your child.
How do we create these moments of ‘Elevation’?
Moments of elevation are easily created when we move out of our comfort zones when we try something unique when we take up a challenge that seems improbable with all the gusto in our hearts.
For e.g. When you are in a restaurant eating out with your family, you can have a challenge with your kids regarding who can make the waiter laugh? Whosoever is able to do it first, will have to treat the winner with a ‘packet of their favourite chocolate’.
Or
You can play the guessing game when you are waiting for food in a restaurant?
Look around the restaurant, pick a table and guess what are the things people sitting on that particular table could be talking about?
There are plenty of other ideas you could scout for on the internet which could serve as great platforms to create these moments of ‘Elevation’.
Few other ideas include:
a) Dressing up as your partner
b) Mango eating competition between the members of the family.
Activities like these push us out of our comfort zones, build banter, and bring us closer as a family.
