Inspiration – Interview & Scrapbook

Nutshell Helps kids know stories of their inspirations.
Adds to their exposure and experience.
Helps kids learn how to solve problems and stick to value systems in times of need.
Duration 1 hr (interview) + 2 hours (making scrapbook)
People 3 – 5
Requirement Pen, paper, crayons, decorative articles, chart paper
Instructions 1. Parents discuss the idea of the idea of the kids interviewing someone they admire. (e.g. grandfather, teacher, uncle, etc)
2. Parents the kids to contact the inspiration and fix an interview time.
3. Parents and kids together prepare a questionnaire for the interview.
Sample questions:-

  1. What were your dreams?
  2. Which were your most difficult situations in life?
  3. What were the failures that you overcame in life and how?
  4. Which was your funniest moment?

4. After the interview, the family sits together and make a decorative scrapbook
Of the best learnings from the inspiration.
5. Then the kids get the scrapbook autographed by the inspiration.

Images [List Image files details, if any, explaining the activity]
Debriefing The kids learn how to ask meaningful questions.
Stories of difficult situations faced by the inspiration remain as live memories with and kids and become their invisible counselors.
