Threats and their side effects
“If you don’t finish your homework, you cannot go down to play”.
“If you don’t listen to me, I will not talk to you”.
Threats are very often used to control the child, but threats actually result in your child feeling inferior. Regular threats convince your child that they are not good enough.
What we think will discipline the child and will make them better, actually, demotivates them and makes them worse.
This video discusses the following questions:
How can I get my child to listen to me without using threats?
What do threats impact my relationship with my child?
What are the side effects of threat?
Can I discipline my children without threats? I mean, is it even possible?
