Anchor Box


Parents and kids select words which will be their guiding values.

These words become their anchors which help them to deal with any kind of situation.

Colours (crayons, felt pens), pencil, eraser, chart paper, decorative material


  1. Parents and kids sit together and discuss which each other what can be the qualities they wish to imbibe in themselves.

  2. Then they write five words each.

  3. With the help of discussion they find the ones similar in all lists to make a common list of 5.

  4. Incase there are fewer than 5 common words, with the help of majority vote on other words, the list of 5 can be completed.

  5. Then these five words are creatively put in a beautiful box design eg kite, etc.

  6. Then the chart paper is put on a wall/softboard in the home for visual reminder and reference.
